Xya is pronounced Zia- the ia is the same as the ia on the end of Chromia
Xya watched Gina walk along the path, she wasn’t watching her in a creepy stalker sort of way, she watched her like most people had an uncanny ability to find no matter what the one person who, held their heart.
What peeved Xya was that she knew the Gina had dated other girls, in fact she’d just dumped her girlfriend of five weeks because she’d caught her cheating. Xya was friends with Gina, in fact good friends, so it was a given that Gina would notice Xya in time.
Smiling at her friend she waved and rushed over, tucking away her books she hugged her long time friend “I’ve missed you so much” she said in her delightfully entertaining New Zealand accent.
Xya smiled brightly “Well I’d have hope so you dolt” she hugged her friend again speaking in her clear Australian accent...well clear next to a Kiwi at least.
Xya grabbed her friends bag “come on, we’ve gotta go get our keys then you’re labourers, I mean brothers can help us haul our bags up” she flashed a lop sided grin at her friend and ran off. She recently spent the entire holidays, when not desperately RPing with Gina working out and instead of dieting (for she had very little will power) working her arse off to tone her body and build muscle.
Gina shouted at her as she ran towards the main building and into the massive crowds.
Xya grabbed their envelopes’ and darted outside, in a black and silver flash she fell to the ground Gina lay on top of her, pinning her to the ground. Panting their faces were inches apart. Xya fought every cell in her body not to lean up and kiss her friend.
Gina grabbed her envelope “thank you” she said standing up and offering a hand.
Xya took the hand and haul her arse off the grass and brushed off her self “well you’ll be happy to know we’re two halls down from the showers and mess hall. It’s the jackpot. We’ve got it all year now two” she said slinging her bag over her shoulder as it fell behind her.
“then lets go!” whined Gina tugging on Xyas’ arm and pouting, combined with a irresistible set of warm brown puppy dog eyes Xyas own grey green eyes rolled and she started off at a light jog, Gina running backwards and all but bouncing from excitement.
Gina pulled her mid length deep brown hair behind her ears and twisted it into a bun while Xya managed to find her long lost head band in the mess that was her bag.
Gina’s brothers jumped out of the rental car, the American plate were dull but all that were needed to bring another giggle to the girls lips.
They looked around the campus, they’d actually gotten into the US college. They hadn't believed it. Last year was their first stint of two years here and 8 weeks back at home for Christmas.
Gina and Xya had been friend since they were 14 and now 6 years later they still were, even though, to some peoples shock and amusement they’d only actually met on person a little more the two years ago.
They spent 3 months in Australia before heading off for their US college dream.
