((This may be a long one. Brace yourself.))
Firefly appears much like the traditional seekers in stand-up appearance. Following the newer movie theme, though, she’s more streamlined, with several metal plates wrapped around more metal plates wrapped around wiring and an internal frame. That’s something that can be said for most bots, though. Due to a compelling desire to make everything an art form ((See History)), see has quite possibly over-done her transformation sequence in order to fit both her T-38 Talon jet form and her bi-pedal form. The same can be said for her holoform. She is a stickler for detail, after all.
Her jet form is that of a training plane with few visible weapons – which is why she has to specialize in concealed weaponry in the case that she ever gets into an aerial battle. ((http://afreserve.com/images/aircraft/viewer/t-38-1.jpg This url might make a good reference)) The front portion of the jet, from the nose to the front edge of the wings, is colored black, and made so that it almost shines, in just the right light. The portion with the wings is a deep red in color, fading back to the black coloring in the tailfins. The wings have a thin black stripe running close to the edge, while the tailfins have a thin red stripe. The outline of an Autobot symbol is etched into the primary tailfin – the one that sticks straight up - on both sides, and shines silvery in the right light.
Her bipedal form is very slim due to the shortage of metal in the training-jet she chose as a form, but she uses this to her advantage as best she can. Much like traditional seekers, her legs form the thruster, her chassis and arms form the middle of the plane, and the interior of her chassis forms the cockpit of the plane. In her alt form, her head is stored slightly behind the cockpit – but it has also transformed in order to make the interior look as realistic as possible. Besides the symbol and the coloring – and coloring is iffy – it can be hard to tell that there’s anything strange about the jet – which, quite clearly, is the point of the alt form. The layering of the folded up training jet is, naturally, what creates the color of her bipedal form. The thruster of the set will separate to form her peddes, which are for walking and thus aren’t extremely impressive. They are black, with the top of the ‘calves’ area fading to red. The tailfins ‘wrap’ around the leg, and the primary tailfin splits in half and does the same, with the Autobot symbol outline showing sideways on the front of both ‘shins’. Being a femme and traditional to most femme forms, she does try to maintain the stereotypical ‘femme figure’. Her hips are the deep red of the central part of the plan, and appear somewhat like ‘capris’ on her form, where her ‘waist’ is the black of the nose of her alt form folds down. The cockpit of the jet form is embedded in this area, and glows slightly due to the glass and a seemingly-dangerously visible spark ((see history)). In her bipedal form, the transparent glass is tinted black, and so the glow is there, but difficult to see. To continue the stereotypical femme appearance, a good portion of the red on the training jet is in sheets ‘wrapped’ around the chest area to create a ‘feminine appearance’. The last bit of said metal creates shoulder guards, and her arms are layered black with traces of red along the lower arm, implying a ‘gloved’ look. The fingers of her hands give a clawed look to them, and have to potential to do damage – but not nearly as much as actual claws, and are closer to the normal side than the claws side. Basically, she has pointy fingers.
Her wings are kind of like extra sensors in her alt form, and allow her to better gauge wind, sun, and other weather things, including play of light. This may potentially extend to color and other such things, allowing her to build a very basic idea of her surroundings without having to turn around and look. ((The previous two sentences may be removed if this ability is not ‘sanctioned’)). The wings are curt, but ever so slightly exaggerated and seemingly disproportionate to the rest of her frame, and are held on her back, upside-down as is normal. Her face is mostly dull silver, darker than the typical silver coloring, with bright blue optics and sharp, but not unforgiving, features. If it were a human face, it would appear rather ‘fox-like’. Her helm is comprised of black metal wrapped around the skull, with a few ‘points’ forming from the side of head, where ears would be, to give a sharper look to it. However, the sharp edges of her facial feature are simply sharp compared to many Autobots – they are still soft enough to be friendly, unlike certain Decepticon visages.
::Personality::
The personality of this femme is one that seems rather off for the war situation that she’s gotten herself into, but she tries to be fun and loveable. Having lived on Paradron for much of her growing life, with her trine – because all seekers come in threes – she grew up not really having to know violence. She had the weaponry, as all seekers did, and she knew how to use it, but there was no need to fight on Paradron. As such she has a slight aversion to fighting, but understands that it is necessary. Firefly, however, tends to prefer extracurricular hobbies over the war effort. She is particularly interested in many different forms of art – primarily music and drawing. She has found sculpting to be interesting as well, as three dimensional art is amusing to her.
Getting down to her actual personality, now. Firefly is a very anti-social femme, but not harsh about it; she prefers to be alone or with her trine,but does not mind company. Secretly, she treasures any form of company she gets, but she does not seek it. She will likely shy away from first contact, but persistent people tend to win her over. She absolutely loves to perform in front of people, as long as it’s not for people, and will occasionally try to break out into song at awkward moments.
Firefly is very slow to get truly upset at somebody, but once she does she holds a horrible grudge. She’s great at pretending she doesn’t – acting is just another art form, after all – but she still holds that grudge and would carry it until the end of time if there is no interference from a third party. This has the potential to make her a lot of enemies, but she doesn’t particularly care. Curse those artistic types, huh?
She has an odd weakness to any Energon that isn't just normal energon. She likes to taste different things, or experience new things. She also likes to help others achieve the same experience.
Despite her surface appearance, Firefly often fears that she'll snap again - see history for details - and that she'll be seen as more of an outcast than she wants to be. She has a slight condition where, when she feels extremely stressed, she lashes out at others more and more. She thinks of herself as a monster for this second personality, and tries to hide it as best as possible. She often seems depressed after such an instance, and one of these instances is a major part of the reason she left the safe haven of Paradron.
::History::
Firefly was born on Paradron after the war started, and grew up in a culturally absorbed family. She's learned many different forms of art and culture, but was sparked for war. As she grew, she tried to retain 'violent tendencies' by learning how to fight - from hand to hand, to natural weapons, to aerial combat and space combat, and her trine was with her all the way. However, the more she tried to overcome or ignore this 'condition' of 'violent tendencies', the worse it got.
However, on the other side, her trine had followed her as she developed, both in fighting and in art. They were with her one hundred percent while she learned to sing, and she became the lead singer in a group of three, their trine being a 'band' of sorts. They were relatively well known, but not drastically.
One day, the stress of life broke her down, and in the following snap she wound up causing the deaths of her creators. In the ensuing grief, Firefly pushed her trine away from her despite their support, and fled Paradron to join Cybertron's war efforts, eventually arriving on earth.
Who do they look like in a holoform? If human leave blank.
